pMEV2HA-MST2-WT
Human MST2 Xpress Clones express MST2, a serine/threonine kinase involved in the Hippo signaling pathway, which regulates cell proliferation and apoptosis. Identified in HeLa and Jurkat cell cDNA libraries, MST2 is homologous to yeast's Ste20 kinase and plays a role in activating the MAPK cascade in response to stress. MST2 is activated by proapoptotic agents like straurosporine and FAS ligand and is linked to apoptosis. The protein contains a 491-amino acid sequence with a catalytic domain at the N-terminus, and the lysine at position 56 is essential for its kinase activity. The K56R mutation (kinase-inactive) serves as a dominant-negative to inhibit the Hippo pathway in mammalian cells. These clones are ideal for studying cellular stress response, apoptosis, and cell proliferation mechanisms. - 20 ug
